SELECTZ: 01 – DJ Purpur & giuseppe – Aid Kit [NSHTT002]

Ask none/such what their sound is and they’ll laugh mischievously knowing the depths they’d have to go into to explain. They operate under an electronic blanket that smoothers every corner of the underground. Verging out of the expected generics of house & techno and venturing into the outer-regions of Footwork, Electro, Trance, Ravey breaks and Jungle, they even dip their toe into ambient music. All involving a roster of exciting and open- pioneering artists looking to alter minds and push the limits of their craft.
Our first proper feature in our SELECTZ series is the A-side of [NSHTT002] from Halle duo and life-long friends DJ Purpur and giuseppe. ‘Aid Kit’ is dangerous, funky and pumping. 140 bpm of fist-fighting energy and electro bounce. Straight away you’re locked into the groove and the bassline pounces quickly with fizzing drums that march in unison with the deft bass. Partnered with some trippy vox that sounds like instructions that are telling you how to dance. The bassline switches in wicked style with an injection of acid stabs and high-octane hats that hiss like pythons to really boot it off on the d-floor. Killer tune in our books. It’s available now in digi format via the none/such bandcamp.
