Leeds based headz Musty Head Records deliver the second instalment of their free download series, with a scintillating slice of esoteric breakbeat. Produced by the mysterious CLJL, little is known about the unknown artist(s) but one thing is for certain, you’re going to want answers ten seconds into this one. Punchy breaks; with willowing, echoed tones flicker between the beats to set the scene for an introvertive introduction. Already immersed in a forest of cosmic energy, the tracks mesmeric, electro-infused bass synth blends into the action with maximum effect. Intense, yet tantalisingly melodic. Re-inforced with gushing’s of texture to give it some fierce attitude. Merging effortlessly, in the second half of the b-line into a syncopatic droplet of acidic frequencies and celestial rhythms.
