A new dawn awaits for Aiden Francis. Vitalised with a new sound, his arrival on Gestalt Records is the beacon of how far in his production journey he has risen. Pulsing with an appetite for the animated side of techno and purging imprints such as Radiant Love, HOR, Planet Euthorique and Kalhari Oyster Cult; he’s found his sanctuary and will only have sights on levelling up in the scene to become a visionary for the next-gen.

The ‘Fusion EP’ is the next one up in the Gestalt catalogue, the Estonian label, founded by Steffan Todorović, always have their pulse on future talents and are never afraid to max out their sound perimeters. Each release presents a new universe of the unexpected. Whether it be melancholic breaks, high-spirited techno or dynamic electro, what is for sure is that each EP is packed with colour, mindful impulses and possessing of a true sense of the atmospheric unknown. Music for the ravers who like to dream.

GST27 presents a star-sailing expedition of driving techno, emotive power and a feeling of belonging. It’s Aiden’s best work to date and a statement of intent from the uprising Manchester artist.

‘Espeon’ (A1) is the heavy-hitter of the EP. Coursing with a bit between it’s teeth and crawling into the late hours. Peak-time euthoria, with radial shards of acid-tones that bleep into the atmos’ and a fierce bassline to boot that throbs and shakes throughout. A restless work-out for the animalistic ravers amongst. ‘Fusion’ (A2) deploys another peak-time weapon. No let-up in energy as Aiden shifts through the gears. His ear for creating textures of lucid synths is unbound and they crusade in perfect tangent with another relentless bassline that is exuding in mesmeric agility.

‘Entropic Nature’ (B1) reverts into merky sub-territory. It still’s still packed energy for his final high-tempo endeavour, but this one curtails into the hazy gloom of the night as the darkened spirits start to takeover. Beware, you can hear their ritualistic chants echo throughout the bassline.

Closing the EP is trusted with South African affiliate of the Gestalt, Biodive take’s over the buttons of ‘Entropic Nature’ for B2 and spray’s a sonic-setting deep house flex into the mix, loading it with story-telling chords and juice-flowing sentiment to spread some nostalgia and love into the final chapter.
