These days, you never catch Harry Wills constricted to one alias. The last two years have seen him appear under numerous monikers both as himself or with friends and foe’s like Alec Falconer and Rob Amboule. ‘Phone Traxxx’ and ‘Brazen for 2-step flavourz to stay true to his UKG roots, but also as ‘Snoozin B’ and ‘BeeDeeBeeBee’ for squidgy electro-breakz bits. Remixes aside, he mostly keeps his HW alias under wraps, but like your Dads Ford Cortina, the temptation to take it out for a spin is way too tempting and we get treated once again to another batch of no-nonsense street weapons for the third round of his Nimble series.

Like 002, the ‘Caught Short On The Sauce’ is a slick four-tracker, where Wills’s creativity and masterfully adroit skill for crafting deft housey stinkerz shines through once again. The top’s down for the A1, titled the same as the EP, this joint skips across the ice like a convertible with skates. A hot pursuit of high-speed techy energy and rocking a stream-lined bassline that ducks and dives around every obstacle, threatening to spin out of control. ‘Bashed’ (A2) is a steppy and brazen curtail into mid-set territory. A full-on stompy fusing of electro-breaks clash, with Wills dabbling with his UKG experience to fuel this fluid and wonky bassline with enchanting synths and mischievous drum-play.

‘Muscle Hustle’ is in the gym and benching 200KG. A monstrous, up-tempo banger that’s easily the most dangerous cut of the EP. The sickest thing about tunes like this is how simplistic it can be to make such a weighty tune as long as you nail the key ingredients and that’s what Will’s does so expertly here. Pumping a vigorous kick and snare with a killer hat combo into the system, then teaming it with a strong and squelchy bass to make it a certified shoe thrower. This one’s gunna cause some serious damage.

Last up is ‘House of Wow’. The last corner of the circuit serves up another cunning demonstration of Wills’s quirky yet fully robust sound. This chunky and powerful house cut has end-of-set madness as it’s prime intention and blends tuff drums with descending bass grooves. Instead of ending a set with sweet melancholic bliss, why not whack the dance with one last hammer?
