Amsterdam based One Eye Witness return with the next instalment of their vinyl-only VA series. The distribution and label headz collect another incredible fusing of rising talents and dopth their cap to the 90’s rave for this EP. It touches all corners of the atmospheric underground as we enter a chamber of nostalgia inducing breakbeats and smoky after-hours techno.

The A1, ‘System Research’ launches with an esoteric slice of breakbeat from Christopher Ledger and Jamie Leather. Aka CLJL. Punchy breaks and ethereal echoed tones crusade into the action and set the scene for an introspective intro. Immersed in a forest of cosmic energy, the mesmeric electro-infused bass synth blends into the the mix with maximum effect. Intense, yet tantalisingly melodic. The second half of the b-line evolves as syncopatic droplets of acidic frequencies and celestial rhythms blast this pearler’ track into orbit.

Next up on A2 is NAONE with ‘Silhouette’, another stunning track that provides a second outer-experience for the EP. NAONE creates a cosmic energy-field and mixes stratospherically glowing textures, vocals and spacey-effects that all ooze transcending qualities. The low-swung bass and stimulatingly delayed hi-hats maintain energy and make it a perfectly nostalgic set-closer.

LVCA and Sidd initiate the flipsidez with an open-air climax to the melodic and thought-provoking tale of the EP so far. Fresh as a warm winters day, ‘Stranger’ floats into the atmos’ like a breeze. Fluttery synths, aligned with beautifully echoed arpeggios create a tranquil echo-chamber. As the track progresses, hauntingly angelic-esque vocal tones seep their into play and will leave you melting in a pool of good vibes.

Closing the EP is N-GYNN with ‘Fire Rave’ (B2), a pitch-black techy rumbler that chugs away into the night. Descending grooves and tough snares dominate. We’re convinced N-GYNN isn’t human, when we think of his appearance all we see is a hardened machine that pumps out darkened plumes of sleazy rhythms and robotic beats. You’ll be locked into this one for the duration.
