LDN headz GODDEZZ take things to the next level with a delve into the physical realms and entrust the ravey escapades of Matchbox with their first vinyl release. The ‘Vantage Point’ EP presents four futuristic weapons from the dutch out-fit; and is consolidated with remixes from heavy-hitters Bliss Inc.’ and Dylan Forbes, plus a special collaboration remix from Angel D’Lite and Eoin DJ.

You couldn’t define their sound by any single entity and they’re definitively a no-rules label when it come’s to underground sound. Anyone new to this label can expect a complete odyssey of futuristic sub-paths: from stompy breaks and jungle to bouncy trance and techno, eclectic electro right through to the contemplative portals of ambient music. Music to expand the mind and soak your membrane in a ravey catharsis.

Match box have always revolved their sound around the spirituality of club music and have a stunning back-catalogue that any rave enthusiast would be blessed to stumble upon. Label and artist are actually quite familiar as GODDEZZ unleashed a killer single from the pair last year called ‘Cyber Sunshine’. Presenting a switch-up in tempo and fresh direction for the pair as they pushed their typical ravey exploits into peak-time settings with a mazy fusing of high-speed breakzy trance. GODDEZZ said we will we have some more where that came from and are now ready to unleash a full-frontal EP that’s guaranteed to blow your socks off.

Straight out of the blocks is the fully-fuelled A1, ‘Midnight’, which manifests the freaky nature of the EP and blasts a pulse-raising bomb straight into the systems. A 90’s inspired track; in possessesion of a dark, driving bass that slaps this record into fifth gear, as Matchbox entwine halcyon synths and enchanting melodies with the stimulating vocals of fellow Netherlander Elif Murat. Get strapped in for the second one. ‘Nocturnal Synergy’ is up next and inhibits every ingredient you’d want from a futuristic trance banger: The nastiest of grooves, magnetic synths that will pump a million volts into your veins and juiced-up drums that are expertly produced with rumbling breaks to fully light the torch of this high-octane hammer.

Bliss Inc.’ takes the reigns of ‘Midnight’ and ignites a bewitched spell on the original for the first action of the flip, maxing out the energy and transporting us down a worm-hole of darkened ecstasy. BI shifts the sound with a more futuristic force and keeps the focus primarily on the driving groove. Pumping trippy effects into the mix and ensuring the steel hats are as sharp-edged as possible to expand the ceilings of the sweatiest basement raves.

Last up is ‘Quantum Transients’ (B2), the descent from the mind-bending antics of the previous trio but it’s by no means a come-down as Match Box complete the EP with a melancholic closer. This one’s pure 4AM, the spirits finely in tune with one another as a feeling of true belonging sweeps the dance-floor. The chugging breaks and burning bass keep the energy embers alive as Match Box beautifully swirl synths and pads with haunting melodies into breakdown and beyond to truly heighten the emotion of the atmosphere.
