SelectA return with their 2020 summer sampler VA and are armed to the teeth with 10 carefully selected weapons to see out the heat season. What started as an infectious mix series has evolved into a forward-thinking brand as they look set to stamp their authority on the surging deep house movement when the lock-down blues are over. They assemble a formation of talented recruits including Jordan Masters, Luke Hazell, Nasïnok and Yogi P; taking matters into their own hands with their own addictive groover: ‘Get Something’ and letting us take the reigns and amplify James View’s stimulating track ‘New Road’.

The Hippes and Beatniks Ldn co-founder continues to make advances in the gallows of London’s simmering music scene and has dropped records with Whoyostro, DOMUS, BNN and on his own rising imprints. A long-standing resident at Dazed, he has played at an array of Londons top underground clubs and has supported industry wizards East End Dubs, Hector Couto, Yaya, Andrea Olivia and Ben Rau on the global stage. His latest creation drops on SelectA and is a taste of what’s to come from as he transitions into deeper vibrations. ‘New Road’ is a close to 8 minute long wormhole of groove as JV expertly merges pulsating drums, fluctuating rhythms and hypnotic mid-range frequencies that are sure to get you throwing shapes.
