Parsec returns to his own imprint with his second release on Inter Records. It’s the fifth outing for the new project and the label boss comes armed with 4 brand new heaters that showcase the rising DJ’s diversity and creativity. The lockdown period has proved to be a productive encounter for the Cardiff based wizard after an ample amount of time in the studio has provided a fresh injection of new beats and we got a taste of what’s to come in his ‘100% Unreleased Material’ mix. INTER005 kicks things off with a bomb. Lead track ‘Gaizer’ marks it’s territory and set’s the tone for the rest of the EP with razer sharp drums, pulsating 303 grooves and hypnotic vox play. Parsec masterfully builds atmosphere throughout the bassline and the sonorous vocal overtones increase the supernatural vibrations. ‘Virtual Space’ provides a breather from the antics of Gaizer and applies a focus on deep, ebby grooves that hit the spot. Spacious chords inter-play with bouncing synths and maintain the energy. Parsec’s signature beats hit on ‘External Links’ as he takes things up a notch with fighting style percussion and encapsulates the drums inside eerie rhythms and harmonious synths. Hands in the air on that breakdown.. ‘Acrux’ rounds off the EP with an intergalactic dream sequence and closes the set with minimalistic beats, spacey tones and a driving sub-bass.
