UNC002 comes in the form of 4 energy-laden cuts from label boss Juliche Hernandez and remixes from PIV wizard Aron Volta and the in-demand You&Me founder; Josh Baker. Uncanny is a fresh vision for the surging DJ after calling time on his previous Downhill Music imprint and is set to take things to the next level with lot’s more forward thinking beats to drop this year. Tommy Vercetti smashed the Beatport charts with 001 after his scorching ‘Under The Sun’ EP nestled in at #15 Minimal/Deep Tech charts; with the remixes from Prunk and Djebali also going down a storm.

All 4 of Juliche’s originals are jam packed with summer flavours and hit the spot in their own unique way. ‘Your Things’ kicks things off in searing fashion with an up-tempo blast of uplifting house music that samples Basement Jaxx’s classic vocals from ‘Do Your Thing’. Oldskool motions on the next one as ‘Retrobiker’ conjures the spirit of 2013 with Hernandez expertly applying a classic organ vibration to the bassline; that is certain to get you busting out those vintage, shuffling dance moves. ‘Billionaire’ and ‘Narrow Circle’ maintain the energy of their predecessors and provide true hands in the air moments with their equally infectious grooves, evoking break-downs and hypnotising vocal chops.

Aron Volta brings the Amsterdam sound and takes things down a notch. Executing a techier, stripped back remix of ‘Billionaire’, applying a focus on minimal grooves and building the atmosphere. Josh Baker comes through on the remix for ‘Retrobiker’ and absorbs the good feeling of the original. Whilst simultaneously giving it a modern, dynamic twist by merging sharp drums with rising chords and his own signature organ bass. A perfect artist selection to remix this one.
