PREMIERE: Acid Kids – Chirpy [Rendr]

Rendr set the tone once again and hit their first landmark, with 10 solid releases under their belt and they have big plans to hit the ground running when the lock-down blues are lifted. The Manchester/Leeds based team recruit the skills of the Acid Kids boys for the big X with 3 slick cuts and a pulsating remix from Meslow boss: Alessio Vaggiano. The prospect of starting a label can be a daunting proposition but Rendr have proven in a seriously short space of time that a clear vision, visual tenacity (and some sick records) will always pave the way for a bright future. Each release is pumped out on a monthly basis and it’s worked a treat as each EP is one to look out and always delivers a killer blow.

Acid Kids are making moves. They’ve only been on the block a short amount of time but they have an experienced and forward thinking sound that is bound to see them break through. They finished 2019 in style releasing on Dutch giants PIV’s ADE sampler and have since followed it up with releases on UK imprints: Music Related, DAZED and Subtle. Rendr feels like a fitting home for their latest frequencies and we’ve got the premiere of B-side ‘Chirpy’ to amplify to your ears.

Lead track Saxon is an energy-infused bomb and the boys maintain the same energy on the flip-side with ‘Chirpy’, but switch things up with a killer breakdown in between the tracks mezzanine that provides a complete hands in-the-air moment for the punters before delving into it’s last action. The bassline flows like the nile and is spear-headed by a powerful synthy bass that will have you throwing all sorts of shapes whilst getting lost in the evoking, hypnotic chords.
