Manchester/Leeds based Rendr explode into 2021 with their second vinyl venture after a mesmeric debut collab between Alex Ranerro and and Aron Volta. Episode 2 shapes three crafty original mixes from Aussie prodigy Nate S.U, after previously impressing with a weighty remix for RR008. Rendr recruit the services of Salty Nuts founder and BE9 main-sayer Fabe on remix duties. Currently residing in Barcelona, Nate S.U is bubbling away and is a certy’ one to watch. A solid outing on Ben Balance’s ‘Sukhumvit’ label has been followed up with a feature on Addition By Subtraction and a series of releases on his own ‘Conspiracy Music’ label. Fabe needs no introduction. In a rich vain of form himself after connecting dots once again with FUSE and has a few tricks up his sleeve to come on Chris Stussy’s new ‘Up The Stuss’ vision. Keep your eyes on that one.

‘The Man With The Tiny Mind’ EP is packed with groove and is a quintessential collection of heavy-hitters. A1 – ‘Tiny Minds’ exudes a blinding radiance and combines glowing synths, shuffly drums and plucky bass stabs. The vocals provide the magic and make it a certified anthem. We premiere A2 – ‘Quincy’s One Two Groove’ and the clue is in the name. A rugged, rhythm focussed burner that boasts a sharp, acid infused bassline and the Kelis vocal injections give the track attitude. ‘Rum Strut’ flips the script on the B-side and is another groove infused bomb. The breakdown provides a definitive climax for the EP as Nate expertly builds towards the final bassline with a whirl-wind of uplifting sounds and piano chords that are packed with raw emotion. We have no doubt that DJ’s in any capacity will be hammering this one all summer. Fabe completes the puzzle and take’s on the remix of ‘Rum Strut’, powered by his signature, analogue rhythms and classy sound.
