Sonder LDN announce their first release and mark their debut with a pairing of two highly rated artists and close friends of the brand. Sonder are a veteran podcast series and are now a hefty five years deep in the game. They’ve gained a strong reputation for their high-quality mix series and ability to be constantly on the toes of the next break-through act. Along the journey they have welcomed weighty names into their house including Voigtmann, Dudley Strangeways, Bobby O’Donnel, Julian Anthony and many more international artists. Evolving as a brand, they’ve also hosted a sequence of parties in the UK capital and over time have become a trusted hotbed for like-minded underground enthusiasts.

The next logical step is label territories and they’re going big with the first instalment. A duo EP from fellow LDN comrades ADMNTi and Laidlaw, who act alone with two individual tracks on both sides of the plate. ADMNTi rocks the A-side with an organ-induced anthem as well as a spacey endeavour in his second injection. Infuse man Laidlaw occupies the B-side with a more melodic and defected persuasion, supplying two very slick and unique flavours into the mix.

Lead track ‘Liquor Locker’ (A1) gets the EP off to a flyer. A high-octane club weapon from ADMNTi that will get the party bouncing. Organ anthems are once again the flavour of the moment and the lofty notes provide perfect call and response with the low-ebbed bassline. It’s fully groove induced and a proper heads down, hands in the air tune for the punters. His second dose aims the momentum into a spacey direction with ‘Betaspace’ on A2. Our ears detect a late set groover, designed for the dreamers and last remaining troops on the dance-floor. Sharp hats and dotted acid-lines send out radial impulses and keep things moving long into the after-hours.

Ready for more? Laidlaw has you covered. Switching it up on the flip in stunning style with ‘Open To Recieve’ on B1. An impeccable and intelligent track that although appears stripped-back is full of life and nostalgic tendencies. Skippy Garage-esque drums pump energy into the matter and as the b-line progresses, synthy-under-tones syncopate exquisitely with some beautifully automated pad-work. Building emotion in the process and making it a totally memorable moment. Lastly, ‘Repeated Patterns’ (B2) locks in a skilful 2-step motion as the frenetic rhythms dance with the descending groove. Keeping matters on the down-low in mid-set territories and will 100% encourage some deft dance-floor footwork.
